Together, it provides seamless perception at all distances.
Aspheric
Where concentric lenses alternate between rings of various prescriptions, aspheric lenses gradually transition between them. Your distance-correction prescription is placed at the centre, mid-distance correction in the middle of the lens, transitioning to near-distance correction close to the edges.
Segmented
Segmented multifocal contact lenses are the contact lens equivalent of bifocal glasses. Multiple prescriptions are distinct, segmented to different areas of the lens. The top section is typically reserved for distance, and the lower section for close vision.
