How to Clean Monthly Contact Lenses

It’s crucial to remove, clean and safely store your monthly cleanses each night before bed using sterile contact lens solution. Just follow these simple steps for each lens:

• Wash and dry your hands thoroughly
• Remove one contact lens and place it in the palm of your hand
• Gently rub a few drops of contact lens solution into the lens for around 15 seconds
• Rinse the lens using fresh contact lens solution – never use water, saliva or other liquids
• Carefully place the lens into your contact lens case, ensuring each lens is in the correctly marked department
• Ensure the case is topped up with fresh contact lens solution – never re-use solution as it will not be sterile.
• Repeat with other eye
• Ensure the case is closed shut and stored ready for the next day

Can you sleep wearing monthly contact lenses?

No – this will increase the risk of corneal eye infection and inflammation.

How long can you wear monthly contact lenses?

30 days maximum after opening the blister packet. Even if you only wear your lenses 4 times within 30 days of opening the lenses, you will still need to replace them after 30 days.

Can you swim wearing monthly contact lenses?
